The Community Relief Core
The Community Relief core seeks to love God and love people by aiding those in the community who need help with their burdens. There are three components to community relief. We want to help those impacted by catastrophes in our immediate area. While this is intended primarily for hurricane relief, it applies to any disaster. We will coordinate with ARDF.
Our Motto:
Dirty Hands = Loving Hearts
We focus on immediate relief, the first ten days after a disaster, providing water and food and clearing property so people can access to their homes.
Efforts shift to making repairs for the next thirty days. Work after this period shifts to the community assistance components.
We then will Focus on aiding those in the community who need help with basic projects. Teams of two or three will go out to make minor repairs, e.g., repairing steps, painting, and basic wiring.
