Family Ministry at St. Peter’s
Family Ministry at St. Peter’s encompasses all families in our Parish. We offer support and education for parents and grandparents and encourage intergenerational relationships among all of the St. Peter’s family.
Parent Sunday School
Between services, 10:25–11:05am
We have been told that we need to disciple our children to know and love the Lord. We have been taught some of the ways we can do this. When was the last time we studied the basics of the Bible and really understood the God Who was, Who is, and Who is to come? If we are going to teach it to our children, we must know it ourselves. Join us for a “Back to Basics” Sunday school and learn alongside other parents, grandparents and some of our high school students as we discover more about our awesome God and the world He created.
Mom To Mom
Meets weekly
Mom to Mom is a Biblically based parenting program designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women in their relationships with their husbands and children. It includes quality instruction in parenting, small group discussion, and the interaction of more experienced mothers with younger moms. Designed to be both a place of nurture for committed Christian women and a “safe place” to bring community friends, it often becomes a bridge into the church. Check out the Family Ministry Classes offered during the semester to find out when the class meets.
GrandParents Ministry
Meets monthly
GRANDparents is new to St. Peter's. The hope is that through our meetings, parish GRANDparents will be encouraged to come alongside their adult children and grandchildren and disciple them to know and love the Lord. We will meet to pray together, fellowship, and share the joys and the challenges of GRANDparenting. Check out upcoming events to find out about our next meeting.
