Pathway 2: Scripture and Christian Doctrine
Pathway 4: Living Out Our Baptism as Public Witnesses For Christ
We live in a time of what is being called “identity politics”, a time of fragmentation in which people base their identity on things such as race, class, education, gender, “sexual orientation”, geography, etc. This fragmentation reaches into the Church and cripples her witness. How should we think about our identity in this context? This class will take a journey back into the Old Testament to Mt. Sinai to explore how Israel’s experience can provide us with resources for thinking about what it means to God’s people and to allow this fact to determine our identity.
