About our Speaker
Freddy is currently the Executive Director of the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO), a faith-based anti-poverty and economic opportunity resource serving at-risk families and individuals in the Big Bend area since 1981. A graduate of Florida State University in 1999 with degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems, Freddy began a career in business development selling technology products and services to government customers. Following stops in Washington, D.C. and Denver, CO, he continued this career path by moving back to Florida in 2007.
Prior to being called to ECHO, he managed the school nutrition program for the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. Freddy brings an employer-led business perspective to the social services arena and believes in the value of adding the strengths and networks of the private sector to the efforts of non-profit service providers as collaborators and partners, not just as charitable donors.
Freddy and his wife, Mary Linzee, are raising two sons, Will and Ford, in Tallahassee where they attend St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral, the official peanut butter provider to ECHO.
