Deans Bible Study: The Road to Romans - Dean Marcus Kaiser

Wednesday Nights from 6:15 - 7:30 pm

Of Paul’s Letter to the Romans, Martin Luther once wrote, “We can never read it or ponder over it too much; for the more we deal with it, the more precious it becomes and the better it tastes.” John Calvin wrote, “If we have gained a true understanding of this Epistle, we have an open door to all the most profound treasures of Scripture.” J. I. Packer expresses it well when he says, “All roads in the Bible lead to Romans, and all views afforded by the Bible are seen most clearly from Romans, and when the message of Romans gets into a person’s heart there is no telling what my happen.” Let’s hit the road to Romans together. What Is The Gospel - Ben Monroe

What Is The Gospel - Ben Monroe

Wednesday Nights from 6:15 - 7:30 pm

“Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel’.” (Mark 1:14-15). When we read these two verses carefully and meditate on them deeply it will inevitably lead us to ask, what is the Gospel? Most of us are familiar with the heart of the Gospel summed up in John 3;16, but in these verses from Mark, Jesus is speaking of the Gospel before his death and resurrection. Is this the same Gospel? Through a study of several different aspects of the Gospel, we will arrive at a fuller understanding of the Gospel as a whole, one in which we see that it concerns God’s relationship with mankind from eternity, from before creation. Our resources will be the Bible and study guide that will be provided. Sign up at stpetersfl.com/register
